We present the latest videos in BiblioSkills, the Library's training space. These are recordings of the latest webinars, designed to help you find information for your projects and research quickly and efficiently. You'll learn how to perform more accurate searches, and how to make the most of the resources the Library offers you.
In the videos, we present various platforms and databases that the Library subscribes to and which you can access with your Virtual Campus username and password. To find them, type the name of the platform or database in the UOC Library's search engine or in the Search by name or keyword field on the Search the digital collection by field page.

Discover Academic Complete
Academic Complete is a package of 200,000 academic digital books from leading publishers around the world, and is part of the Ebook Central platform. This video shows you how to access and use it.
Key points
It's a platform to which the UOC Library subscribes where you can consult ebooks from a wide range of areas of knowledge and renowned academic publishers including Wiley, Taylor & Francis and Springer. It is part of a larger collection of books: Ebook Central.
From the UOC Library Type "Academic Complete" in the Library's search engine or in the Search by name or keyword field on the Search the digital collection by field page.
The session includes a demonstration of how to perform a search, using various tips.
You can read the books with an interactive online reader, which lets you underline and annotate the text, and add bookmarks. You can also obtain bibliographic citations and organize the documents into folders.
The books can be downloaded in full using the Adobe Digital Editions application so you can read them on loan for a few days on your device, or you can download some chapters in a PDF file.
Take inspiration from WARC
WARC is a new UOC Library platform designed to help you design creative and effective marketing strategies. This video presents its content, which ranges from real examples of campaigns to advertising investment statistics and reports on trends.
Key points
WARC is a database designed to help make informed decisions in marketing, providing evidence, knowledge and good practices.
The WARC content is divided into four sections, covering different aspects of marketing and advertising: Strategy, Creative, Media and E-commerce.
They analyse key marketing trends and issues, with expert opinions.
You can find campaigns, many of which have received international awards, classified by product, location, objectives or budget.
This will allow you to learn about brand strategy, consumer behaviour and campaign development.
Identify your goals and follow a WARC guide to carry out creative campaigns based on the specific results you want to achieve.
WARC produces annual rankings of the 100 campaigns and companies that have won most awards in the world for their creativity, effectiveness or good use of media.
The Media section contains interactive graphs and reports on advertising trends.
The E-commerce section includes The dComm Index™ tool, which compares the performance of brands on platforms such as Amazon and Walmart, and reports on digital commerce.
If you want to search for information on a specific topic, category or geographical area, go to the More / Browse by interest section. You can use the Feed filter to read short, up-to-date articles to quickly review the latest news about a topic.
Learn with O'Reilly
In this video, we teach you how to use this leading technology and business platform, which offers content on topics including artificial intelligence, programming and developing soft skills. You'll learn how to access, browse and search O'Reilly in order to find titles that interest you, and how to use all its features.
Key points
The platform is renowned for its books on programming, but it also offers many other types of content, including interactive tutorials, videos, courses and audiobooks, as well as information on various technology topics (design, security, hardware, web and mobile, etc.) and business issues (professional development, human resources, accounting, sales and marketing, etc.).

You'll find a live demonstration of how to perform a search and the options available.
From the Explore Skills menu, you can browse varied content grouped according to the skill you want to develop (data science, cloud computing, soft skills, agile methodology, etc.). There you'll also find an explanation of how the online reader for books, audiobooks and lists works.
In the Start Learning menu, you can tailor the course according to the skills you want to develop and your level.
O'Reilly Answers is an artificial intelligence tool that in response to your questions gives you recommendations on content on the platform where you can find the answers.
The team behind O'Reilly has asked a group of experts in the sector to curate content and choose the books or videos they consider to be most relevant in a given area.
You have access to a series of books on computing that is well known for featuring animals on the cover.
Clicking on Early Releases opens up a page with the books you can read before they're officially released.
Stay up to date with ProQuest
The video tells you how to use ProQuest Central to find news from around the world and other content. In this seminar, you'll learn how to perform efficient searches, filter the results and manage information easily.
Key points
ProQuest Central is a database that provides multidisciplinary content from all over the world. It contains 3,500 newspapers and magazines including The Guardian, The New York Times and Le Monde, as well as business case studies, books and videos.
This seminar explains various techniques for searching ProQuest Central, as well as other academic databases.

You'll find a live demonstration of how to perform searches and browse the results.
There is an explanation of tools such as Boolean operators and advanced search options for refining results and finding relevant information efficiently.
