Crowdfunding is an alternative to bank loans to finance a project, service, product, etc. collectively. There are numerous online crowdfunding platforms on the Internet.

The UOC Library has produced a dossier on rewards-based crowdfunding, where you will be able to find a selection of resources that will help you understand what crowdfunding is and the different types that exist; we will also show you organizations that promote crowdfunding and the leading crowdfunding platforms, along with other content.

Crowdfunding does not only affect one branch of knowledge but can be used to finance projects in the arts and humanities, law, politics, psychology, education, technology, etc., and is useful for students on the University's various bachelor's, postgraduate and master's degree courses.
