Taking advantage of the tenth anniversary of the commissioning of the courses of practical Japanese language study at UOC, the Library has produced this dossier to raise awareness of some of the leading names in Japanese literature, while also increasing the resources available at the UOC through Casa Asia's fonds.

When Shimamoto appears in his bar one day, Hajime's long-lost feelings return.

Tsukiko has convinced herself that love isn't for her until she meets her old Japanese teacher. To combat their own loneliness, a bond springs up between them and we see the coming together of two people in love. He remembers the woman who left him and she recalls an old classmate.
Midori, Hanada and Mizue live a precarious existence in modern Tokyo. Midori supports his family, Hanada dresses as a woman to feel despised and Mizue battles against everyone's indifference. This is a novel that builds a bridge between ancestral customs and new lifestyles.
