Request a BiblioLab

A BiblioLab is a laboratory classroom designed to support your course. Students will find resources, tools and guidance aimed at learning about a specific topic of a more instrumental or technical nature. There are no assessable activities and students do not have to submit any work. Instead, the BiblioLab provides a space for developing practical and cross-disciplinary knowledge that can be linked to your course material.

The laboratory classroom is staffed by Library experts who are available to answer questions via the standard communication channels.

How it works?

  1. Validate

Confirm with your programme director that you can include a BiblioLab in your course.

  2. Request

Fill in the form to request a BiblioLab. We'll contact you within a maximum of two working days, excluding non-teaching periods and UOC holidays.

  3. Link

Link the BiblioLab to your course.

  4. Assessing your students

If you're wondering if you can assess the knowledge acquired by students in a BiblioLab, the answer is yes. If you wish, the Library can provide you with a series of questions that can be included in a continuous assessment activity in order to assess whether students have understood the BiblioLab content correctly.

The questions are structured from more "simple" to more "complex". You don't have to choose all the questions. As teaching staff, you can select those that best suit your course and the workload you decide to assign to learning from the BiblioLab.

Under no circumstances is it mandatory to use this continuous assessment activity; we simply provide it in case you want to take advantage of some of the questions for your teaching.
