Procedure for creating and updating your Google Scholar profile
How do you create a Google Scholar profile?
1. Go to Google Scholar and log in using your UOC email address (@uoc.edu)
2. On the left-hand side of the screen, click on 'My profile'.
Enter your details (VERY IMPORTANT!):
- Name: use your name in its standard form with which you sign your articles (it has to appear exactly as it does in ORCID).
- Affiliation: Universitat Oberta de Catalunya (UOC). You may choose to add your faculty or research centre. However, if space is limited, prioritize the UOC, as specified in Author signature recommendations for scientific output at the Universitat Oberta de Catalunya.
- Email for verification: to give visibility to your profile, you need to use your UOC email address. It is key that you use this email, ending in @uoc.edu, because ranking services such as Webometrics (CSIC) conduct searches by domain.
3. Select articles that you wrote.
4. Complete the settings for your profile, choosing the options shown in the image.
