"Now what shall I read?" The Library adds new digital books

Most of the books are in Spanish, and they cover all of the UOC's study areas.
More than half of the books can be listened to with an audio player.
eLibro is a collection of multidisciplinary digital books from Spanish and Latin American universities and academic centres, and the Library offers its contents to the entire UOC university community. The platform has recently updated its list of titles, and added 2,000 new titles.
The bulk of eLibro's most recent additions are from the Arts and Humanities area, with books on poetry, philosophy, history, art, literature and music. Books on Law and Political Science, many of which are on Criminology, have also been added. Around 70 titles have been added in the field of Education Sciences, including Investigación e innovación educativa frente a los retos para el desarrollo sostenible.
You will find eLibro books among the results when you perform any search in the Library. If you want to explore the titles available on the platform, go straight to the collection and log in using your Virtual Campus username and password.
Here are some of the books that have recently been added:
A dictionary covering of video games, with over 960 terms. It includes entries about video game actions, genres and subgenres, as well as concepts and expressions related to communication and interaction between players.
This book contains guidelines for looking beyond the autopilot of the streaming platforms, and considering who we are and what we watch as post-modern viewers. For example, there is an analysis of what spoilers are and why they are so important today, and why Netflix has attracted so much attention to date.
This book is part of a collection of books published by the Harvard Business Review Press to improve professional skills. The manual adopts a highly practical approach when setting out the key ideas for working productively – and collaboratively – online.

eLibro has added fiction and non-fiction books including biographies, novels and short stories by classic and contemporary authors such as Oscar Wilde, Miguel de Unamuno and Jules Verne. Among them is this book – a first-hand account of the experience of slavery in the United States in the 19th century.
