New student card: updated design, same benefits

We have started to send out the first batch of new UOC cards. Gradually, in the upcoming shipments, the cards will be updated as the old ones expire.

The most obvious change to the new card is the updated design, which incorporates the new branding. If you turn it over, however, you'll see something else new: the number that identifies you as a student has also changed. This change has been made to adapt the numbers to the Catalan library system.

Despite all these changes, the benefits remain the same.

• The card is proof that you form part of the UOC and can use the Library's services and resources, depending on your profile.

• You can access other centres that the UOC has agreements with and take items out on loan – this includes most Catalan university libraries.

• You can benefit from the discounts and advantages offered by organizations and companies to university students, such as entry to museums.

The card is sent to all students enrolled on official university courses, UOC-certified postgraduate courses, @thenaeum courses or Centre for Modern Languages courses.
