Make the most of AI to speed up your searches of the Library's databases
Subject: Multidisciplinary
The latest AI tools can respond to questions, recommend content and summarize documents to save you time.
You always need to check the answers provided by AI tools to make sure the information is reliable and not biased.
The Library's subscription databases and platforms are updating to include evermore AI features that can speed up and streamline your information searches. There are new developments almost every week. Here we present some of the AI tools currently available from the services the Library subscribes to. We also give details on how they work, what you can do with them and how you can make the most of them.
Some of the tools let you ask questions in natural language and get responses back directly based on the academic sources, while others can recommend related content in the areas you're researching or summarize key points from documents to help you quickly decide which to look at. If you're a Law student, you can find specific AI features for your field that can help you with your research.
You need to bear in mind that, although these tools can be really useful, you always need to check the information to make sure it's accurate and that it doesn't contain errors or bias.
