The UOC Library takes part in the 1st Iberian Meeting of Distance Education University Libraries.

 
The UOC’s Library and its Information and Communication Sciences Department will take part in the first meeting to be held on 19 October 2013 at the headquarters of the Universidade Aberta (Open University of Portugal, UAb) – Palácio Ceia, R. da Escola Politécnica, 147, Lisbon, Portugal – organized by the Information and Documentation Sciences Course’s Coordination and Documentation Services.
 
A paper entitled “The Role of the Library in the Learning Process: The UOC Model” will be presented by Anna Zuñiga Ruiz, from the UOC Library.
 
A paper entitled “Training in Information and Documentation: Profiles and Focus” will be presented by Eva Ortoll Espinet, a lecturer from the UOC’s Information and Communication Sciences Department.
 
The aim of this meeting is to provide a forum for exchange, discussion and technical development of professionals working at higher distance education institutions’ libraries in Portugal and Spain.
