Hanna Damásio. Honorary Doctor

Coinciding with Hanna Damásio being awarded an honorary doctorate, the UOC Library has produced this dossier of resources related to her career. Damásio is a neurologist and pioneer in the use of imaging methods to study brain lesions, such as computerised tomography and magnetic resonance imaging. She is director of the Dana and David Dornsife Cognitive Neuroscience Imaging Center at the University of Southern California and Distinguished Adjunct Professor at the University of Iowa.

It is awarded annually to the person of Portuguese nationality who, during this period and previously, has distinguished themselves as a figure in the scientific, artistic or literary fields. Hanna Damásio and her husband, Antonio Damásio, received the award in 1992.
