Subject: Arts and humanities Information and Communication SciencesCristina de Middel. Inaugural lecture 2018-2019
To mark the 2018/2019 academic year's inaugural lecture, which consists of an interview with Cristina de Middel, the UOC Library has produced this dossier of resources in connection with her career's work. Cristina de Middel is an artist and documentary photographer who has worked as photojournalist for various NGOs and Spanish newspapers. In 2017 she was invited to join the Magnum international agency, and is also a curator for PhotoEspaña. She combines documentary works with her personal projects, in which she questions the language and truth of photography as a means of documentation, and presents reconstructions and archetypes that blur the distinction between reality and fiction.
