Aina Moll i Marquès. Honorary Doctor

The institution is a center of catalanistic and, with its own sections and subsidiary companies, promotes and developes the research in the different areas of the science and of the technology, but mainly in all the elements of the Catalan culture. It also receives iniciatives of other institutions.

The Balear Cultural Work is an entity founded the year 1962 to promote the own language and culture and defense the right to the Balear Islands to the full self-governance. The Balear Cultural Work works as of thematic axes, which shares with the other entities members of the Llull Federation.

The SOCS has been and is a place of convergence of people which, from diferent disciplines (sociology, linguistics, anthropology, psychology, law, political sciences, history...), wanted to describe and change the social reality to our countries. Aina Moll is a founding member.

Electronic edition consultable of the Dictionary Catalan-Valencian-Balear that picks dialect variants of the Catalan. The phonetic transcripctions are represented according with the principles of the AFI (International Phonetic Assotiation), adapted to the Catalan by the IEC.
