The UOC Library's services over the Christmas holidays
Subject: Multidisciplinary01/12/23You can continue to use most of the UOC Library's services in late December and early January
Some response times may be longer than usual during this period
We will continue to deal with the enquiries you send us via The Library Replies and our other services over the Christmas holidays, although the response time may be a little longer in some cases.
The loan service
Are you looking for a specific book which is only available in paper format? We recommend you request it before 12 December so that we can send it to you in time for the holidays.
You can continue to make loan reservations over Christmas, and we'll get you the books from 8 January onwards.
Check the opening hours of the UOC centres during the holiday period. For most of them, the last day to collect books is 22 December, and at the Barcelona centre, it's 20 December.
Special loan service
From 11 to 18 December (inclusive) we will be offering a temporary free home delivery service to facilitate the provision of books on loan.
During this period, if you select Home delivery in your request, we'll send the book to the address you have registered in the personal area of your Library account free of charge (in Spain and Andorra).
To register your address, go to your personal account. You can get there by clicking on the Menu option of the Library search engine or, if you're already logged in, on your name (in the top right-hand corner) and then on Personal details.
The free home delivery service is only for receiving books. The options for returning them by courier or registered mail remain the same as normal.
