A library guide to explore the challenges currently facing education and the role of universities as a force for transformation

This year, coinciding with its 30th anniversary, the UOC is hosting the opening ceremony for the Catalan university system's academic year 2024/2025. During this event, Salvador Macip, professor and dean of the Faculty of Health Sciences, and Eulàlia Hernández, member of the Faculty of Psychology and Education Sciences, will deliver the UOC's inaugural lecture, titled "Educating the Future".

Taking a closer look at the key ideas covered in the lecture, the UOC Library has produced a new library guide with a selection of content on the challenges and opportunities facing education in an increasingly digital and changing world. The guide addresses key matters such as how the education system should be adapted to meet new needs, and what the role universities should have as agents of change.

The opening ceremony will be held on 3 October at 12 noon (CEST) and will be streamed live on the UOC's YouTube and LinkedIn channels.
