Services

Publish in the UOC's O2 repository

Publish the scientific output or doctoral thesis produced by you at the UOC as open access, and discover all the benefits of sharing your knowledge in this way. If you have any questions, you can contact us using the form for this service.

Publish your thesis

Once you have read out and defended your doctoral thesis, you must publish it as open access both in O2, the UOC's institutional repository, and on the Theses and Dissertations Online (TDX) cooperative repository. Therefore, before the day of the defence, you have to send the documents specified below and sign the corresponding authorization.

The service is aimed at doctoral candidates, researchers (management profile) and teaching staff.

Make your request

Once it has been approved, the UOC archives the thesis in digital format in the University's repository.

How it works?

  1. Fill in the form

You need to put the address of a folder in your Google Drive with the following documents:

A data sheet with all the fields duly completed, including an approximately 150-word abstract of the doctoral thesis in Catalan, Spanish and English.

The full text of the doctoral thesis in a PDF file. The thesis may be divided into chapters or sections for easier consulting.

You can view the procedure for the deposit and defence of the doctoral thesis on the Virtual Campus in Procedures (for doctoral programmes) / Deposit and oral examination of doctoral thesis.

  2. Embargoes

If you are planning on publishing your work in a journal or publishing house that does not accept works that have been previously published or disseminated, you must fill in an application for an embargo period for your doctoral thesis, stating the delay that most suits your needs, and attach it to the form.

  3. Publish your data

If you want to publish the raw data collected while working on your doctoral thesis, you can contact the Open Science Office through the Research Data Management Support Service.
