The Library's current search engine was launched at the beginning of the academic year with the purpose of bringing together in a single space the content that the university community has at its disposal, from articles and books to databases and publications in the UOC's O2 repository. Since its launch, nearly a million searches have been made.
If you are part of the UOC's research staff or are a doctoral student, we invite you to participate in a webinar to learn about the functionalities offered by the Library's search engine for your research or thesis.

What content will be covered?
In this webinar, we'll walk you through how you can use the Library search engine to look for information for your research and how to manage that information. For example, in the file of each document, there is an automatic citation tool and the option to export the bibliographic citation to Mendeley.
We'll explain how to turn on alerts to get notified when content related to your favourite searches is added. We'll also go over the advanced search strategies and show you how you can use the Library's services to order documents that you can't find using the search engine.
The webinar series is an initiative of the UOC Library, in collaboration with the ProQuest group, which provides the search tool.
