Neus is responsible for the Research Assessment Service, a comprehensive and personalized service provided by the Open Science unit. This team specializes in research assessment and accreditation, and bibliometrics.
Her work consists of supporting teaching and research staff throughout the process of obtaining accreditation and merit assessments (namely those from the Catalan University Quality Assurance Agency or the Spanish National Agency for Quality Assessment and Accreditation). She also helps them review the quality indicators of the contributions submitted by them for assessment or accreditation and advises them on impact narratives.
Education and professional career
She started training in Sociology but then decided to change direction and began studying Documentation at the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona (UAB). She soon felt attracted by the search for information in databases and specialized resources, new technologies and everything relating to the field of research. This led her to take the UOC-Technosite Master's Degree in Accessible Technologies and, later, the postgraduate course in Communication and Science Assessment at the University of Barcelona.
Her professional experience has focused mainly on research libraries: the Medicine Library at the UAB, the IN3 (Internet Interdisciplinary Institute) Library and, finally, the UOC Library, where she has specialized in the field of bibliometrics and the assessment of the impact of scientific output.
In recent years she has made a leap towards the field of Biomedicine in the Knowledge Management Unit of the Research Institute at Hospital de Sant Pau, providing support to research staff in aspects of Open Science and research assessment.
