What can I find with the Library's search engine?

You can use the search engine to find:

  • Books, articles, journals, videos and databases that have been specifically selected as a result of their quality and relevance to the university's areas of study.
  • Recommended reading: resources recommended by the university's teaching team for more in-depth information on the courses.
  • Learning resources: educational materials produced by the UOC and used in its classrooms, which are available to all members of the university community.
  • UOC degree final projects and open access articles: contents available in open access in the UOC's O2 Repository.

Related questions

  • Teaching staff, researchers and students can suggest the purchase of resources such as books, journals, databases and others through the Recommend a resource service.

Our team at the Library will evaluate the possibility of including the resource using the following criteria:

    • The interest and relevance of the topic and the authors in relation to the university's fields of study, teaching and research
    • The resource's availability in digital format (this will be prioritized)
    • Budget availability and resources already present in the collection, to ensure thematic balance

The Library will inform you whether your request has been approved or declined.

  • Remember that the card identifies you as a UOC student. This means it entitles you to the discounts and benefits that organizations and companies offer to university students in general, such as tickets to museums and permission to consult and borrow books from university libraries in Catalonia and from other institutions with which the UOC has an agreement.

  • To donate documents to the UOC Library, send us a list of titles to the email address donatius@uoc.edu, and our team will consider adding them to our collection based on the University's areas of study and research.

Please contact our team before bringing any books in person. Once the donation has been approved, a delivery date will be agreed.

  • You can continue to use the Library's search engine to consult content that is published in open access.

UOC Alumni can also continue to benefit from many of the Library's services.

Please note that some Library content, databases and platforms have a limited number of user licences, and priority access is reserved for educational purposes. This is why you can only consult them while you are a student at the UOC.
