Anthropology Commons

Anthropology Commons is a repository from ProQuest's Alexander Street aimed at promoting digitization and open access initiatives. It currently contains 8,000 digitized pages from Ruth Fulton Benedict's archives.

Ruth Benedict was one of the most influential and famous anthropologists of her time and made significant contributions to her field. She also wanted to break down the stereotypes surrounding women in her time, and demonstrate that working women could be successful even though the world of work was dominated by men.
