Workshop on how to raise the profile of academic articles
The latest session of the R&I Meeting Days is to take place on Thursday 25 May, from 10.30 am to 12 noon, in the Josep Laporte room at the UOC’s Tibidabo building.
Mari Vállez, a specialist in the UOC’s Library Services for Research department and adjunct professor in the UPF’s Department of Communication, is to present techniques for researchers to raise the profile of their publications.
Research involves different stages and it does not come to an end once an article has been published. Following publication, there is a new phase where authors have to try to maximize its impact. This session will look at aspects that can help increase an article’s impact – and possibly citations too. If you would like to attend, fill in this registration form.
Under the banner of the R&I Meeting Days, the UOC periodically organizes interesting informative and training activities for its R&I staff. You can check out videos and presentations from previous sessions in the corresponding section of the OSRT intranet.
Mari Vállezhas a doctoral degree in Social Communication from the UPF, a master’s degree in Computational Linguistics from the UPC-UB and a bachelor’s degree in libray & information science from the UOC. She has worked as a librarian at the UOC for the last seventeen years and currently provides support services for bibliographic management in order to increase the impact of the UOC’s academic journals.
