UOC resources adapt to your way of studying
Why have you chosen an online university like the UOC? You can educate yourself constantly: you can manage your time and, therefore, combine your professional and personal life with your studies. All of this thanks to a very different learning model from the on-site formula. The UOC offers flexible study and a classroom that can be accessed at all times and that makes the most of the Internet's potential. In keeping, the study materials are in tune with this reality.
What are they like? Multi-format – they are in the form of hypertext links, audio books or video books; multimedia – they can combine text, image, audio and video; and interactive, much more than plain text, so you can make comments, underline content or add information. Beyond the physical module, the digital format offers numerous advantages, as you will discover in this video and presents a plural offer to adapt to you, to your learning style. This is why the UOC and its Library are committed to digital resources.
Transition to digital format
A few days ago, we discovered what university libraries in Finland were like: as well as large collaborative spaces, makerspaces and with professionals there to help users, they are also an example in the promotion of the digital format for learning. Although there are still staunch defenders of print books among Finnish university students, many of them are slowly putting aside their reservations about digital resources. In fact, 77% have read e-books aimed at learning and a large part rate their advantages positively.
The majority of UOC students, 100% digital
At the UOC, the number of students who only use digital learning resources has risen. At the start of the semester, they could choose between the print study module, sent by post, and fully digital material: the new multi-format, interactive model.
