According to the Redes sociales y mercado de trabajo 2016 report produced by Adecco and the Infoempleo website, social media are the third most important channel for recruitment in Spain. 86% of companies use them to check out a candidate's profile before taking them on.

Find out why it's important to actively manage your social media accounts.
- Listen. Find out what people are saying about you. Try “egosurfing”: write your name into an internet search engine and see how well your positioned. Does what you find correspond to what you want to communicate?
- Talk to people and create. LinkedIn, Twitter, blogs, YouTube, etc.: find out about the benefits of each of these platforms and choose the one that best meets your needs.
- Measure. Don't forget this part! Monitor your activity to see whether your online reputation is improving.
