What is an RSS feed?
RSS is an acronym with several possible meanings: the most widely accepted is Really Simple Syndication. RSS is an XML-based format designed especially for websites with frequently updated content. The text shown in an RSS feed usually includes the title of each item and a link to the website with the full content.
RSS feeds are an easy way to receive alerts when your favourite websites publish new content. If you use them, rather than visiting each website to check for new items only to find that nothing has changed, you will be automatically alerted whenever there is a new item. You can moreover group all your favourite news sources together in order to check them all from a single screen.
