Visit LGBT Thought and Culture, a digital archive documenting the struggle and social movement
Every 28 June, we celebrate International Pride Day and the values it represents: diversity, tolerance and freedom. For this reason, Mireia Castillón, our equality,
diversity and inclusion coordinator, has prepared a selection of reading matter, degree final projects and other resources that address LGBTI issues. Will you join us?
The #GenderUOC collection: new learning resources
Did you know that the Library offers learning resources on gender studies created by the UOC? Just type #GenderUOC in the search box to access materials on feminisms, women and sexualities. We present some of the latest additions, which focus on the LGBTI community in the workplace and in the social sphere.
Be inspired by other students: a collection of works on gender
The best way to start your own bachelor's or master's degree final project is to look at what other students before you have done. With this in mind, we have created a collection of bachelor's and master's degree final projects focused on gender studies in the O2, the UOC's institutional repository.
Inclusion and diversity at universities
This year, our university was the venue for the VI Meeting of the Network of Universities for Diversity (RUD), an event that brought together experts from over forty universities to discuss the challenges of inclusion and equality in the university environment. In the wake of this event, the Library has added two key publications to the Equality Unit's special collection.
Pride memories, just a click away
We invite you to take a trip back in time with the LGBT Thought and Culture database. It's not just a collection of documents, it's an archive of the movement's struggle and culture from the twentieth century to the present day. It contains more than 150,000 pages of historical documents: speeches and interviews by leading figures in the movement, photographs and other materials selected by international experts.
Understanding for action: the UOC library guide on LGBTI-phobia
Content for detecting, combating and preventing discrimination and violence towards LGBTI people. It includes protocols, guides, and good practices for preventing this type of discrimination and violence, as well as learning materials for understanding gender identities and sexual orientations in classrooms, workplaces and the media.
