The UOC Library has opened a call for six non-curricular internships. You will be able to train in a real work environment in tasks to support specialist personnel from the UOC's Library and Learning Resources.


When and where will the internships be?

The placements are being offered for the coming academic year (October 2018 to July 2019). Selected students will complete their internships at the UOC’s Barcelona centre, Rambla del Poblenou 156.


What are the six offers?

1.Learning Resources Internship

Responsibilities:

  • Form part of the teaching staff support team, selecting and disseminating specialist information sources to each course.
  • Take part in the UOC learning resources production processes, which include publishing, management and monitoring tasks.

2.Library website management

Responsibilities:

  • Monitor the Analytics project.
  • Analyse and make proposals to improve the website’s positioning.
  • Participate in making improvements to the website.

3.Support for the communication and dissemination of the ETHE international journal

 Responsibilities:

  • Dissemination and positioning of this journal about e-learning in higher education.
  • Content writing and publishing.
  • Scientific communication.
  • Management of social media and international networks.​

4.Communication support

 Responsibilities:

  • Participate in internal and external communicative actions in a dynamic environment to target students, teaching staff and research personnel.
  • Mentor the team when they redesign their digital platforms (websites, information access tools, etc.
  • Management of the Library’s social media networks.

5.Community manager for academic journals

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate on the communication plans on scientific journals’ social media.
  • Create content for social media, primarily Twitter and Facebook.
  • Enter content into Mendeley, Google Scholar and other scientific literature databases.

6.Library data management

 Responsibilities:

  • Know and work on the Library’s indicator map and write activity monitoring reports.
  • Participate in creating a dashboard for obtaining real-time data.
  • Create reports using Google Analytics and other tools, such as Data Studio, Power BI.
  • Create data displays to suit all needs.​

If you’re a UOC student, access the internships tool and select the option UOC non-curricular internships. Register and you’ll be able to access the list of offers.

If you’re not studying at the UOC, send an email with your CV to coopedu@uoc.edu, indicating the title of the internship.
